We were in our new school for the second year, and it looked
even better than it did last year.
Our enrollment was 1,522. There were 411 feisty freshman, 382 silly
sophomores, 386 jaunty juniors, and 343 sophisticated seniors. We
enjoyed relaxing for thirteen extra days because of snow, and the
energy crisis caused us to turn our thermostats down. The band and
choir took a trip to Georgia and the government classes toured Washington D.C.
We experienced Big Mac attacks and the hots for Charlie's Angels.
Saturday nights were spent in front of the T.V. with the not ready for
prime time players. We saw great movies like King Kong,
A Star is Born, and Carrie. C.B.'s helped us keep
out of trouble with the police. New restaurants served us good food
and gave us a place to go after games.
We were led by a new President, Mr Jimmy Carter, from Jawja,(Georgia).
We saw capitol punishment used again in the execution of Gary Gilmore,
and we saw the price of gasoline go up, up, up. A new law in the form
of Title IX reached us, and we conformed by electing our first
Homecoming King.
