Car Wash

The Spring car wash is a large fundraiser for the Castle Band programs.  The Car Wash is free.  Funds are raised through $5 sponsorship "pledges" which the students obtain before the day of the car wash.  Donations are also accepted on site the day of the car wash.  Students sign up to work morning (8:45a-12:45p) or afternoon (12:15p-4:15p) shift at one of 3 Newburgh locations:  Apple Center, Hardees, or Wesselman's.  The Car Wash chairperson contacts businesses, works with other parents who act as "captains" oversee operations at each location.  The chairperson also coordinates all equipment and activities for the day, and prays for no rain.  At each site, the captains provide support for the student workers, monitor cash levels, maintain student lists for check-in and check-out, and assist the students in washing vehicles.
